The B3, better known these days as the “Wassily” chair, designed by Marcel Breuer and first produced in 1925-26. This model features a linnen cover and was produced by Gavina in Italy between 1962-68. The inspiration for this iconic chair was found in the Adler bicycle and the red and blue chair by Gerrit Rietveld, it was Breuers first real tubular steel chair making him one of the inventors of modern tubular steel furniture. Thanks to its distinctive appearance, the B3 became a symbol of the new objectivity and is till today a Bauhaus icon.
